Missing Aircraft

Fly Sax has disclosed that the Jomo Kenyatta International airport control tower says it has lost contact with a caravan aircraft with a capacity of 12 passengers operated by East African Safari Air Express registration number 5Y CAC.

The aircraft departed from Kitale destined for Nairobi at 1605HRS carrying 8 passengers and 2 cabin crew. Search and rescue team has been mobilized by the Kenya Civil Aviation Authority, Aircraft Accident Investigation Department and KWS.

At present East African Safari Air Express has no knowledge of the location or condition of the aircraft or its occupants. The airline says it is in the process of contacting the next of Kin and family of the passengers on board and they can convene at Weston Hotel for more information.
