Ethiopian, Air Connection Express, Sign Firm Orders For Q400 Turboprops

Ethiopian and Angola-based airline, Air Connection Express, Transportes Aereos S.A. have signed a firm order for ten and six new Q400 aircraft with Bombardier Commercial Aircraft, respectively.

Mr. Tewolde GebreMariam, Group Chief Executive Officer, Ethiopian, says: “The Q400 turboprop is a great network builder. Its unmatched performance and outstanding economics has allowed us to better serve the domestic and regional demand in Ethiopia.”

Ms. Alcinda Pereira, Representative, Air Connection Express, Transportes Aereos S.A. says: “The Q400 will be instrumental in driving economic growth in Angola. As we look at starting operations, we are confident that the nation of Angola will benefit tremendously from the Consortium. Selecting the leading turboprop in Africa will enable us to better serve communities across the country with modern passenger comfort and improved connectivity.”

Mr. Fred Cromer, President, Bombardier Commercial Aircraft, says the Bombardier turboprops will continue to deliver unmatched performance to operators.
