Airports Company Mozambique Celebrates 38th Anniversary

The Airports Company of Mozambique clocked 38 Years recently and a number of activities were held to celebrate this milestone.

At its Headquarters in Maputo International Airport, the President of the Board of Directors of the Airports Company of Mozambique, Mr. Emanuel Chaves, describes the 38 years as a significant era during which the Company faced and surpassed lots of challenges to become a national reference.

Mr. Chaves says Airports in Mozambique have greatly improved in terms of infrastructure. He says: “Compared to inadequate Airports infrastructure in the country when the Company took over the Airports, Mozambique today now has the Maputo, Nacala, Vilankulo and Pemba Airports some of which were expanded, modernized or built from scratch.”

The Company says it is committed to continuous development which is in tune with its Strategic 2019-2022 Plan to become a reference point as a National and African Airports development Company.

A Futsal tournament, lecture on interpersonal relationship, film show, health fair, among others were held to celebrate the Anniversary.
