New Route …Rwandair Looks To Benefits Of Open African Skies, Kicks Off Kigali-Abuja In 2018

Rwanda national carrier, RwandAir, is warming up to add another route to its expanding destinations in Africa. Rwanda’s Minister of State for Transport, Jean de Dieu Uwihanganye, on behalf of government, had made this disclosure at the third annual International Civil Aviation Organisation World Aviation Forum (IWAF3) 2017 in Abuja, Nigeria.

Speaking on the Kigali-Abuja route which is expected to start in 2018, the Minister says the deal would present RwandAir with new market opportunities.

He also says “the local business community will soon be able to easily explore more Western African markets following the signing of a bilateral air service agreement between the Government of Rwanda and Cape Verde.”

The Abuja-Kigali route would add a second destination to RwandAir in Nigeria after Lagos.
