Ethiopian Airlines Celebrates 50 Years Of Service To Kinshasa, DRC

Africa’s leading carrier Ethiopian Airlines has celebrated the 50th Anniversary of its services to Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). ET says “Since the launch of its flight to Kinshasa back in 1975”, it “(Ethiopian) has been offering an uninterrupted service to the city, significantly contributing to the socio-economic ties between Kinshasa, and the rest of its global network.”

The event was marked “in a colorful celebration in the presence of higher officials of DRC, Ethiopian Group CEO and executives, and DRC aviation officials.” Mr. Mesfin Tasew, Group CEO of ET said, “celebrating 50 years of uninterrupted service to the Democratic Republic of the Congo is a big milestone for Ethiopian” and “highlights our unwavering commitment to serving the nation and the entire continent in general.”

ET says it “currently offers a total of 32 weekly passenger flights to three destinations in DRC: Kinshasa, Lubumbashi, and Goma.” In addition, “Ethiopian also offers dedicated cargo service to Kinshasa. Ethiopian Airlines’ flights to/from DRC play as a significant bridge, connecting people and business.”
