Kenya CAA Implements Online Personnel Licensing System

In a move aimed at eliminating duplication, improving efficiency and providing applicants with a faster and seamless service experience, Kenya Civil Aviation Authority (KCAA) has implemented an online Personnel Licensing (PEL) services platform for all new and pending applications. The new system according to the Authority was developed to deliver a simplified, faster, and more transparent application experience, enabling stakeholders to apply from anywhere, at any time.

The Authority requests that all new and pending PEL applications be submitted exclusively through the online platform and further advises that “Should physical document verification be required for specific applications, the system will notify the applicant accordingly”.

It would be recalled that the KCAA had temporarily suspended personnel licensing services to enable it transition to the new online platform. The Authority says with the new platform if will also “introduce a computer-based examination system to further enhance transparency, reliability and overall service delivery in licensing.”
