FAAN Assures Of Safety, Security As Easter Celebration Begins

Passengers passing through Nigerian airports have been assured of their safety and security during the Easter period. The period is known for the mass movement of air travellers to visit families and friends, and to also observe some leisure outside their areas of residence.

The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) stated: “As Easter holiday approaches, the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) wishes to assure passengers and other airport users that our network of airports are fully prepared and ready for the usual upsurge in passenger traffic that is the norm around the season.”

Also, the Authority said it has put all necessary facilities, infrastructure, and manpower in place, to ensure seamless facilitation at the airports during the season and beyond.

“We also want to reassure all passengers and airport users of safety and security, as all necessary security architectures have been mobilized and activated at our airports,” FAAN added.

Furthermore, “the Authority would like to advise passengers and to endeavor to leave for the airport early enough, so as to ensure that check in formalities are concluded in good time,” FAAN said.

The Murtala Muhammed International Airport new Terminal in Lagos recently commissioned by President Muhammadu Buhari is expected to receive a surge of passengers during the Easter holiday Season.
