Air Cairo Signs Agreement with Acron Aviation on Advanced Flight Data Monitoring

Acron Aviation has signed a Flight Data Monitoring (FDM) agreement with Air Cairo. Under this multi-year contract, Acron Aviation says it “will provide a fully outsourced Flight Data Monitoring (FDM) service based on its industry leading Flight Data Connect (FDC) platform. The service will cover the entire Air Cairo fleet that includes ATR, Embraer and Airbus aircraft types.”

According to Arcon Aviation, “The seamless and rapid transition of Air Cairo’s existing FDM service to Acron Aviation saw the onboarding of Air Cairo’s fleet of 36 aircraft into the FDC platform. This included the configuration of an automated flight data download pipeline and customisation of safety events, selected from a library of over 750 events, aligned with Air Cairo’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).”

Acron Aviation says its FDC platform “uses a patented data processing and analysis engine, delivering flight insights within minutes from receipt of data. This innovative platform utilizes statistical modelling and machine learning to provide Air Cairo with accurate intelligence in a visual and easy to understand format.” Arcon Aviation says this will enable “operational teams to quickly assess and identify safety risks, emerging trends and take informed corrective actions with accuracy and speed to maintain the highest levels of operational safety and efficiency.”

Complementing the FDM service according to Arcon Aviation is its innovative Astra pilot app which “utilizes flight data intelligence from multiple sources to synthesis a unified view of operational and safety performance. The app securely distributes personalized insights to pilots in an easy-to-understand format that informs decision making.”

Mitesh Patel, GM & VP Flight Data Intelligence, Acron Aviation: “With Astra pilot app, Air Cairo’s pilots will have rapid access to insights into their flights, enabling them to identify risks and opportunities to ensure the highest levels of operational efficiency and safety are always maintained.”

Capt. Ahmed Shanan, Chairman and CEO, Air Cairo: “This collaboration provides our flight operations and safety teams with enhanced visibility into performance trends and potential risk areas, enabling data-driven decisions that strengthen our safety management framework.”
